A través del color rojo, solidificado y armado, Charo Carrera construye una instalación en el bosque de Valdelarte formada por varios elementos a la intemperie. Una Intervención con la que, una vez más, incide en la necesidad de un cambio urgente de una sociedad equivocada. Detecta esa tendencia del ser humano al ensimismamiento, ese desentenderse del mundo que facilita la desconexión emocional y otorga la sensación de protección ante un impacto negativo. Cuando la sangre se derrama llama a la muerte: un mensaje severo ante el cual el humano se adapta, sin apenas crearle conflicto. ¿cómo nos afecta la destrucción que infringimos a la naturaleza? ¿la degradación del suelo, la deforestación, la pérdida de agua y de biodiversidad? Nos acostumbramos a las tragedias, pero la sangre avanza entre los árboles, como una herida abierta, nuestro silencio y nuestra mirada indiferente. A pesar de nuestra arrogancia, la Naturaleza nos sobrevivirá y de nosotros sólo quedará un rumor.

About the human drift and the drift of nature.
Through the color red, solidified and armed, Charo Carrera builds an installation in the Valdelarte forest made up of various elements exposed to the elements. An Intervention with which, once again, he emphasizes the need for an urgent change in a mistaken society. He detects that tendency of the human being to become self-absorbed, that disengagement from the world that facilitates emotional disconnection and gives the feeling of protection against a negative impact. When blood is spilled, he calls for death: a severe message to which the human adapts, hardly creating conflict. How does the destruction we inflict on nature affect us? Soil degradation, deforestation, loss of water and biodiversity? We get used to tragedies, but the blood moves through the trees, like an open wound, our silence and our indifferent gaze. Despite our arrogance, Nature will survive us and only a rumor will remain of us.
Biografía de la artista
CHARO CARRERA.- Nacida en Palencia. Trabaja y reside en Málaga. Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Artista multidisciplinar, concibe el arte como una investigación a través de la observación humana, de lo que quiere expresar y de su lenguaje. Muy lejos de interesarse por la repetición constante de la obra y, debido a su espíritu arqueológico, lo que más placer le produce es encontrar, descubrir, reciclar, plantearse retos, no sólo con nuevos formatos y tamaños, sino también con diferentes materiales y su comportamiento. Sobre todo, abrir nuevos caminos creativos, guiándose siempre por su intuición. Pintura, dibujo, escultura, fotografía, vídeo, land-art e instalaciones, son sus medios de expresión. La diversidad de su trabajo responde a una cabeza poliédrica en constante ebullición, la observación crítica y viajera, constatando en su trayectoria el hilo conductor que guía toda su obra. Ideas que se superponen, retomando caminos y técnicas experimentadas, recuperando su material fotográfico y cerrando círculos. El paseo cotidiano y arqueológico alrededor de su propio taller y de su propia obra, le da el convencimiento de que no hay nada mejor que el proceso creativo, vivir en el territorio de la duda, salir de la zona de confort y seguir el riesgo.
Artist Biography
CHARO CARRERA.- Born in Palencia. She works and lives in Malaga. She graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is a multidisciplinary artist, she conceives art as an investigation through human observation, of what she wants to express and of her language. Far from being interested in the constant repetition of the work and, due to his archaeological spirit, what gives him the most pleasure is finding, discovering, recycling, setting himself challenges, not only with new formats and sizes, but also with different materials and their behaviour. Above all, open new creative paths, always guided by her intuition. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, land-art and installations are her means of expression. The diversity of her work responds to a polyhedral head in constant turmoil, critical and traveling observation, verifying in her trajectory the common thread that guides all of her work. Ideas that overlap, taking up experienced paths and techniques, recovering her photographic material and closing circles. The daily and archaeological walk around her own workshop and her own work, gives her the conviction that there is nothing better than the creative process, living in the territory of doubt, leaving the comfort zone and follow risk.
